Glean Prompts for Outlook

Save your favorite Glean AI prompts and run them on any email with one click. No install and no admin rights needed.

1. Download the add-in file

   Download manifest.xml

2. Add it to Outlook

   Open aka.ms/olksideload (it opens Outlook on the web; sign in if asked). Then go to My add-ins → Custom Addins → + Add a custom add-in → Add from file… and choose the file you just downloaded.

   It shows up in Outlook on the web, new Outlook and classic Outlook, usually within a few minutes.

3. Open an email and click Glean Prompts

   Classic Outlook: it's on the Home ribbon. New Outlook and the web: click Apps (or …) above the email. Click the pin icon to keep it open.

4. Sign in with Glean

   In the panel, click ⚙ Settings, enter your company's Glean name (e.g. acme if Glean is at acme.glean.com) and click Sign in with Glean. Log in as usual; you only do this once.

   Prompts then run automatically, and reply prompts open as a ready-made draft. If sign-in isn't available at your company, Run still works by copying the prompt for you to paste into Glean.

"Add a custom add-in" missing? Your organization has turned off custom add-ins. Ask IT to allow them for you, or to deploy this manifest for you.
